Gillis Gilkerson Welcomes Two New Tenants to Delmarva Health Pavilion in Millsboro, Delaware

SALISBURY, MD – December 7, 2015 – Gillis Gilkerson, one of the most stable and trusted general contracting and construction management firms on Delmarva, announced the addition of two new tenants to Delmarva Health Pavilion at 30265 Commerce Drive in Millsboro, Delaware.

“We are pleased to welcome two reputable healthcare companies that will enhance the mixture of specialty services offered at Delmarva Health Pavilion Millsboro,” said Palmer Gillis, founder, chairman and CEO, Gillis Gilkerson.  “Peninsula Plastic Surgery and People’s Place will become part of the team providing a one-stop-shop for all healthcare needs in the Sussex County, Delaware community.”

Peninsula Plastic Surgery will fill 2,100 square feet in a new office space.  Construction and renovation is in process and is expected to be complete by December 20, 2015.  Peninsula Plastic Surgery will start seeing patients in the news space on January 4, 2016.

“We were already in the process of looking at space in Millsboro when PRMC offered us a spot in the Health Pavilion,” said Jodi Zimmer, practice administrator, Peninsula Plastic Surgery.  “It made sense because more than half of our patient population currently being seen in the Salisbury office is from Millsboro and surrounding areas.  We know Millsboro, Delaware is a growing retirement community on the shore and a demand for our services would already be in place.  We look forward to opening up the new office to make it more convenient for our patients and their families.”

People’s Place Inc., a multi-purpose non-profit organization offering social and mental counseling and resources to Delaware residents, will move into a 2,450 square foot space in the beginning of 2016.

“The Counseling Center is excited to be a part of a building with a variety of medical professionals,” said Kim Rigby, communications and donor relations manager, People’s Place, Inc.  “We are pleased to be the only mental health service provider and will have six offices for client appointments and also a small room to be used for children’s play therapy.”

The counseling center will continue to provide the same mental health services they are currently already providing in Millsboro in a much smaller office space such as evaluations, therapy, and medication management (Spanish services also available).

The Delmarva Health Pavilion Millsboro, a two-story multi-purpose medical facility, is a joint project of Gillis Gilkerson and Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC).  PRMC owns and operates a community health center in a centralized portion of the property.  Services provided are focused on a model that promotes health, wellness, prevention and education.  Currently Peninsula Regional Family Medicine Millsboro, Peninsula Orthopedics, Peninsula NRH Regional Rehabilitation and PRMC laboratory services are open to the public.  Peninsula Imaging and PRMC’s Home Scripts, a full-service community pharmacy are targeted to be open by the end of the year.

There is 15,000 square feet of space still available to lease.
