Gillis Gilkerson Redevelops Country Corners Market in Lewes, Delaware
SALISBURY, MARYLAND – July 27, 2021 – President Dwight Miller of Gillis Gilkerson (GGI) is pleased to announce the firm’s redevelopment of Country Corners Market, a longstanding convenience store located at 17921 Coastal Highway in Lewes, Delaware. The +/- 3,738 square foot building is owned by Baker Petroleum and features traditional retail space complete with a food preparation and service area, outdoor dining, multiple beverage coolers, and exterior fueling stations.

Even though the project spanned throughout the winter months where weather can present challenges, everything ran smoothly and their team delivered the building on schedule.”
Gillis Gilkerson’s construction team was led by Project Manager Robin Steininger and Assistant Project Manager Daniel Ash with onsite coordination provided by Superintendent Bill Schiavo. Together, the team managed demolition of the original +/- 1,809 square foot building and executed the ground-up construction of a brand new, modernized store.
