Gillis Gilkerson Completes Renovations for Exmore Town Hall
SALISBURY, MD – September 23, 2104 – Gillis Gilkerson, one of the most stable and trusted general contracting and construction management firms on Delmarva, announced the completion of renovations made to the J. Guy Lawson Municipal Building at 3305 Main Street in Exmore, Virginia.
“A town hall represents a town’s core to its leaders and the surrounding community,” said Dwight Miller, president, Gillis Gilkerson. “We were happy to help the town of Exmore give their center hub an updated look through the renovation project we completed on their municipal building.”
“We were in a bit of an emergency situation with a leaky roof,” said Robert G. Duer, Town Manager. “The team from Gillis Gilkerson responded to our time crunch and got the job done on time. We were very happy with the end result because it allowed us to get back to business in a timely fashion.”
The work included the removal and replacement of two flat roofs, relocation of existing air-conditioning units, and replacing the cedar siding with vinyl Cedar Impressions siding. All of the work was completed while the facility was occupied.
