Gillis Gilkerson Completes 94 Guest Room Hotel in Rehoboth, Delaware

REHOBOTH, DE – April, 2015 – Gillis Gilkerson, one of the most stable and trusted general contracting and construction management firms on Delmarva, has announced the completion of the Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites at 19113 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on time and on budget.

 “Our team was diligent and determined to stay the course on this project,” said Dwight Miller, president, Gillis Gilkerson.   “A little winter weather threw the team a curve ball but they rose to the occasion and worked persistently to finish the hotel on time and on budget.”     

 The four-story, 60,300 square foot structure, owned by Colonial Oaks Hotel, LLC, includes 94 guest rooms, meeting space, an indoor pool and  fitness room, a basement bar and lobby equipped to serve hot breakfast to guests.   The exterior is cladded with a combination of cementitious siding and exterior insulated finish system to provide exterior walls with an effective insulated finished surface and waterproofing.

The Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites is the first hotel the Hudson Management Group owns and manages.  It is also the first time the Marriott brand will have a presence in Southern Delaware.  The Hudson’s booked their very first room from a walk in during their opening ceremony.
